After the heartbreaking argument of (Y/N) and Rin yesterday, Rin have been acting weird and not himself lately. He rarely goes to his swimming practice and when he does, he either leaves early or his stroke was off. His usual smirk was gone even if he wins a practice relay with his team. His smile...it was gone a long time ago when he left (Y/N).

"What?"

Hannah's voice echoed at her home as she followed Rin to their table. Yes, Rin and Hannah were living together. Rin sighed and sat down on the nearest table before setting down his cup of coffee on the table. "You left me with your friends to go see that girl (Y/N)! Don't you know how embarrassing I was there standing like a statue with nothing to say?!" Hannah yelled but not angrily.

Rin didn't respond but kept his eyes on his not interesting hot coffee. Hannah let out an annoyed sigh.

"Why didn't you tell me you were going after that girl?" She asked, "and what's this talk about swimming in the olympics?" Hannah added as she placed her own coffee down the table and putting her hands on her hips. She sounded really clingy at their relationship but it was a girlfriend's responsibilities to know what's up with her boyfriend.

Rin spoke. "Hannah," He said, "swimming in the olympics is the thing I really want to do and what I grew up wanting to do. I don't want to work on your company." Rin said, taking a sip from his coffee. Hannah laughed at Rin's words before sitting on a chair that was across Rin. "And you think you're gonna be successful with it?" Hannah calmly yet coldly mocked Rin.

With those simple words, It was like being hit by a bullet. Hannah just mocked and dragged Rin down on moving on with his dreams.

"(N/N) [Nickname] thinks I can do it."  Rin replied with a monotone but there was something in his voice that Hannah can't seem to know. Hannah's eyes widened as she heard Rin spoke to her. "Even when we were young, she always believed in my dream." Rin added with his monotone. If Rin only have black hair, some people might think that him and Haruka are brothers because of their attitude and tone of voice.

"(N/N)? You mean (Y/N)?" Hannah asked with a serious tone. Rin took another sip from his coffee. "Yeah, (Y/N)." Rin replied. Hannah stood up from her seat and then walked towards the side of Rin. She placed her hands on her hips again before scoffing. "I know you're all childhood friends and all, but sweet nicknames? Are you and (Y/N) a couple before?" Hannah asked, not believing her thought.

"Yeah, I guess." Rin spoke, looking away from her.

"Even before I met you?" Hannah questioned, suspiciously.

Rin sighed. "That was a long time ago. It's not important." He answered, sipping some coffee out of his cup. "Why didn't you tell me?" She snapped slightly. In Hannah's tone, it was clear she was slightly angry on only knowing that Rin and (Y/N) were a "couple" a long time ago just now. Rin stopped for a while before staring at Hannah, "There was nothing to tell." He replied.

"Don't lie to me!" Hannah snapped.

Rin stopped for a while. A memory from yesterday started showing up from his mind.

"There was never an us, there will never be an us. So please, stop lying to me."

(Y/N)'s voice echoed through his ears and he tried shaking it off. He knew he needed to do something...but...yes...he let go easily. He let go of the memories and times he shared with (Y/N). He needed to move on, like (Y/N) have to move on. (Y/N) shouldn't have waited for him for seven fucking years! She should have been successful right now, not moping around him!

Because.....

There was never an us....

Rin stood up from his seat before walking towards Hannah with a serious face. "It's in the past, Hannah." Rin said after a few seconds of silence. Hannah only have him a look he couldn't know understand but it was enough for him to continue talking.

"It's over between me and (Y/N)."  Rin spoke.

GOSH!

Yesterday was bad enough with Rin and I even didn't get over that, and now realizing that the one --I mean, the one who is NOW the owning the company I was working was of course, Rin's new girlfriend, Hannah. She was the daughter of the former owner of the company and is now passed down on her.

I gripped my shirt tightly as I submitted my work to Hannah. She gave me a look before speaking, "Thank you." then she walked away with my work on her hands. I only stared at her with my eyes showing how much i hate her. My free hand clenched a chunk of my hair, pulling it on frustration. "And she has to be here? How great is that?" I said sarcastically then walked away with a frown.

TIMESKIP

If I haven't told you before, I gave my work to Hannah because I was looking for a promotion to be the new account executive. It was a really bad timing since I was looking forward on seeing the former owner, not Hannah with her face making me remind of my memories with Rin. I'm currently sitting down with my friends, who were also looking for a promotion.

All we have to do was wait for Hannah to show the best work of all to the other owners of other companies. I crossed my fingers, hoping the best would come.

Then, my work showed up from the monitor. Some unknown voice screams happily at my head as Hannah, herself told my plan to the others. My friends gave me smiles then thumbs up, knowing that I would get my promotion sooner or later. I can't help it but smile at them and feel really happy for myself.

"We'll be launching a web series with cliffhangers and have a text poll over THT to find out how the text webisode should begin." Hannah started explaining my plan for our company. "We'll be developing a new group of emoticons to tell the story." Hannah explained further more as an emoticon showed up from the screen.

"It's going to be like an animated short," She said.

"I smell a promotion." One of my friends commented, winking at me.

"But to generate buzz," she stopped for a while, "we are going to launch it VIA a campus tour." She continued with a smile.

All the president of the other companies whispered to each other but let her continue speaking. "Just like what I did before." Hannah ended.

"I like it." One president commented out of nowhere. We all turned to him and listened to his speech. "It's fresh and innovative. But, what will the short story be?" He asked as he gave a look at Hannah. Everyone turned to her, as well as me, to hear her answer.

If you're wondering what story I planned for our company project, I wrote the story of my past. Where Rin promises to me that he will meet me but made me wait for seven years and never came back. He never said a word to me or even communicate with me over the past years which made me angry at him.

"A love story." Then, a GIF showed up from the monitor, showing what the love story will be. "Girl and boy were childhood friends. They were inseperable." Hannah said as she pointed at the monitor.

My smile grew a little wider as she continued.

"What does the letter H & R stand for?" Asked one of the president as he pointed at the letters that was carved on the trunk of a tree.

Then, my eyes widened before frowning in anger and confusion. Originally, it was (first letter of your name) and R. Why all of a sudden Hannah changed it?

"Hannah and Rin." Hannah answered with proud smile.

My eyes widened at what I heard. That's not true! It was meant to be (Y/N) and Rin! Why did she....

"But their love story was cut short that summer. But a few years later they meet again. So this time, will Hannah and Rin have their happy ending?"

"Okay," one of the president said before standing up, with the others following his actions, "I like it very much. It's a go for the company." He added. "Congrats Hannah. Did you come up with all that?" He asked as he walked towards Hannah.

I frowned. Hannah better tell them it's my plan, not hers.

"Yes I did!" She replied with a grin.

My hands turned to a fist as I heard her. She was clearly stealing my plan and everything. She even changed the main character to her and Rin! She's being a stupid bitch and surely, she doesn't have any originality or anything. She only goes to other people and steal their dreams like she has the right.

"And that's why she's that best. Good job Hannah!" No! No no no no no no! They should be the one praising me, not the faker laughing at her perfectly good plan that worked. Hannah smiled at them and chanted some thank you to them. Everyone clapped their hands but not me and my friends. They knew that Hannah stole my plan. I squinted my eyes at her.

"Oh, and by the way, I would like to introduce to you our new project head." Hannah yelled, making everyone silent, eager to know who it was. My friends gave me grins and some pushes of happiness, knowing that I would be the new account executive. The promotion I wanted to have.

"Meet Clara Wade. Our newest account executive."

Then, someone stood up with a short hair then bowed a little. Everyone clapped their hands to the girl as she accepted the compliments unshamefully. I should be the one being complimented, not that girl who clearly didn't do single shit! I gawked in suprise, as well as my friends as the others continued clapping. As if we were in a distant, everything went silent. The claps were echoing to my ears. There was something growing inside of me. Anger, sadness and revenge. She stole my idea, gave the promotion to another girl and stole Rin away from me.

Wait, why do I care about Rin?

There was never an us...

TIMESKIP

Hannah was packing up her things, ready to leave her office to celebrate with her friends on her perfect plan. Without permission, I walked inside Hannah's room with a frown. One look on my face, everyone would get the message that something was wrong and I'm going to face it like I faced Rin.

I slammed my hand on the table, everything on it shook slightly but didn't fall off. Everyone gasped a little in shock but slowly rolled her eyes and scoffed as she realized it was me. She didn't give any attention to me and continued putting things in her should bag. After a few minutes of silence, She stared at me.

"What?" She asked coldly. Her tone was scary but not enough for me to go away in tears and fear. I calmly glared at her annoyed attitude and face before walking even near to her. Our face met as we continued our staring contest and I will make sure she will lose this battle and give up.

"I deserve it." I said, bluntly, my face showing no emotion. But anger was building up inside me but I kept it in control.

"Deserve what?" Hannah questioned as she slid her shoulder bag on her shoulder.

"I deserve the promotion you gave to Clara." I said, my hands turning into a fist. Hannah looked at me in shock as my words sunk in her mind. She was really slow for a girl who owns a company.

"Excuse me?" She asked, incredulously.

Before I would speak, she walked past me and made her way to the door. Before she could even grab the doorknob, I blocked her like she blocked my dreams and my promotion. I gave her a serious look, the anger growing even bigger inside.

"Get out of my way." She said, annoyed all written on her face. I didn't move. I kept a straight face and my breathing was deeper. I didn't move an inch or even slightly. I need to show her who is the boss here and now. Knowing that I wouldn't move away, Hannah scoffed then pushed me away from the door way.

She walked out and I follwed her.

"Everything YOU presented was MY idea." I said as I followed her pacing as she walks. She didn't answer me or even look my way, she continued walking. "And you didn't even have the decency to give me credit." I added, a hint of anger showing.

" I was the one who put them together. Not you." Hannah hissed as she gave me a glance and walked away even faster. I held her arm then made her turn to me forcefully. "I was the one who worked on all of them!" I screamed at her face. The anger inside of me slowly showing by seconds.

I"m not suprised if I ever hit her or harm her. She was the one who put herself on this problem.

Hannah gave me a deadly look, her eyes full of anger but not as bad as mine. She gave an annoyed sigh then stared at my eyes. "You worked on all of them! Including MY boyfriend!" Hannah yelled as she walked closer to me.

I didn't respond. What the hell?

"Don't you dare deny it! I can see it through you!" She hissed and pointed at me. I was slightly offended but build up some courage to talk back to this girl. "I didn't do anything wrong!" I yelled back.

Hannah replied quickly. "But you wanted to! You wanted to steal Rin from me!"

I laughed at her. "I would never steal Rin from you. I am not like you." I said but she protested.

"You wanted to go back to the beach because you wanted to bring back the past!"

This made me stop for a while. The memories when me and Rin were only kids and we played on the beach. Everythig came back with a snap of a finger, those memories were good way back then. But...now.... those memories doesn't mean anything.

"Oh yes, I know everything!" She cockily said. I rolled my eyes at her. I shook my head, the memories slowly fading away from me as I stared at her with anger gleaming on my eyes. "If that's the case, you should know that it's over between me and Rin. It's all over!" I spitted out, angrily.

"It better be!" Hannah yelled, "Because Rin is my boyfriend now! You're delusional!" Hannah added, angry tears forming at the sides of her eyes. All the people inside the building were now straring at us and some stopped working just to watch us.

"You can't compete with me! Don't even try!" Not giving me a second to reply to her, she already have her words. I only stared at her with disappointment and anger. Why is she the one angry? She was the one who stole my ideas and now she's angry?! Is this girl for real?

"You lying, backstabing boyfriend-snatching slut!" Hannah screamed out.

Her words didn't hurt me one bit. I'm stronger than before. After Rin left me for a long time, I taught myself how to stay strong in front of anyone. Not like Hannah. She was already breaking. I know very well, she was ready to hit me but she didn't. Not yet atleast...

"Really now?" I questioned at her, my face showing no emotion but braveness. "The words you said...coming from a shallow, manipulative, no originality, two faced bitch." I spatted as I pointed at her with my index finger. I shoot daggers at her, her as well to me.

Hannah gulped the lump forming on her throat but calmly said, "I don't have to deal with this garbage--" Hannah was about to walk away when I again, grabbed her arm and made her face me.

"I'm not done yet!" I screamed and gripped her arm even more. Hannah winced in pain as she tried to get away from my grip. "Let go!" She yelled but I didn't budge. I only stared at her with a knowing look. "No! You listen to me!" I answered.

"Before you call me a liar," I started, "Do you really love Rin?"

"Yes, I love him--"

 "No!"  I quickly stop her mid sentence.

"Because if you truly love him," I ventured, "You wouldn't force him to change just so he could be good enough for you!" I ended.

Hannah gasped. "Don't you even try to--" I cut her off, again.

"And don't you dare call me a backstabber! I never betrayed you!" I said, "I respected your relationship with Rin! So you don't have the right to call me a slut!" I said and pushed her by her shoulder. Hannah gave me one last glare before saying,

"You're fired!"

"No," I started, "I quit." I ended before walking away with clenched fists.

TIMESKIP: OUTSIDE THE BUILDING

I walked out of the double doors, the hotness from the outside already greeting me. I slowly walked down the stairs from the entrance of the building. I was holding the a box of my things from work. It was heavy but I still I managed anyway.

Then, I stopped for a while to take a break. I was in the middle of the stairs but I took a break anyway.

I can't believe I'm fired. This was the longest job I have ever gotten. But who cares? The one who owns it now was nothing but a two faced bitch like what I called her a  while ago. The arguement was long and loud, but it was worth it to show her who is right and who is wrong.

Then, a black car parked in front of the building. My eyes only widened a little since I saw Rin from the window. He turned to the window and saw me staring back at him. He was the same. I could see his maroon eye staring back at my (E/C) ones as he gulped the lump on his throat.

Rin opened the door of the car and got out before closing it again. I didn't move but only stared at him with no emotions or whatsoever. My lips were in a straight line but my heart was pounding loudly and rather quick.

He kept his eyes on me.

My heart soon started beating even faster. No....I don't love him!


I CAN'T love him!


He has another girl that he loves!

"(Y/N)." Rin called out but someone cut him off.

"Babe!" Right on cue, Hannah walked out of the double doors I walked through earlier and gave Rin a sweet smile. As soon as Hannah was where Rin was looking, she turned to her side only to see me with my eyes glued to the ground.

Hannah ignored my presence and walked down the stairs. As soon as she got down, Hannah gave Rin a kiss on the lips and Rin slowly kissed back. They pulled away, Hannah linked her arms with Rin and made Rin go into the car again.

Hannah got in the car and shut the door. Rin opened the door yet, he gave me one last look before walking in and shutting the door. Like time stopped, I saw Rin clench his fist but then started the car and drove away.

All I could do was stare. No words came out of my lips.

I was too scared.

TIMESKIP: HOME

"(Y/N)." My mother said my name rather disappointed. She turned to me with angry yet sad eyes. She stood up from the sofa as she walked near me with her arms crossed. She simply stared at me for a while until her lips moved. "This is not the right time to resign." She spoke out as she glared at  me but not really bad. But I know very well, she's really angry and disappointed in me.

"Mommy..." I called out for her as I stared back. "I can't stand my boss anymore. She's so unfair." I said and gripped tightly on the hem of my shirt. Yes, I was strong in front of Hannah but when it comes to someone I love, I can't help myself but let the tears slowly slid out of my eyes. She worked very hard to keep me alive and have a bright future and help them, of course she will be disappointed in me.

"Not only to me but to Rin." I continued, hot tears slowly falling down on the floor. My mom's eyes widened as she heard the name of Rin. "Rin?! what the hell (Y/N)?" My mom muttered as she took a step back to look at me clearly. Her eyes were glinting with anger as her hands clenched on her hair tightly. She was really angry at me. Well, to Rin too.

"You almost quit school before. Now, you've quit your job?!" she hissed at me. I wrapped my arms around myself, looking for warmth. All my problems gives me chills, but even if I'm wrapped around a blanket, the chill was there. How would I even fix all my problems? They are all too much for me. I gulped the lump on my throat.

"You're going to destroy yourself again over that man?!" My mom screamed as she held back her hand to hit me. "You're letting him make a fool of you again?! Who else will suffer this time because of your stupidness!?" My mom screeched loudly, her voice echoed on the empty house. Breathing loudly, I wiped off the tears on my cheeks and looked at her bravely.

My mom sighed. "(Y/N), haven't you learned your lesson?" Mom asked, "Rin already left you once!"

"He wouldn't have done so if you didn't talk to him." I quickly replied to her. Mom's angry expression softened a little and slowly, it turned into a sad one. I could see through her already. Her eyes were sorry but she didn't show it. She was so stuborn.

"If you didn't scare him into thinking that he would ruin my life." I responded, tears spilling out of my eyes. "But don't worry," I said, "I won't make myself idiotic again." I ended.

"I won't met myself get destroyed again." My tears stung but it will not hurt me like on what I'm going to say now.

"I will not love Rin again." I said.

There, I said.

But I love Rin. Always have and always will and nothing will ever change that. Ever!

"I will not love Rin again even that's how I really feel. I will do that because not only I find it wrong or because I might get hurt again. I will do it because I don't want to give you anymore reason not to love me." I continued.

My heart ached like....like it needed a break.

"I don't want another seven years go by that whenever you look at me, all you could see is my mistakes from the past."

With that, I walked away.

TIMESKIP: DINNER

Rin clenched his fist even more. His knuckles turning white. Currently, they were in a dinner where the presidents of other companies go on. But that's not the problem at all. Every time someone would talk or ask anything to Rin, Hannah would speak for him. Not letting him, himself, answer the question.

Hannah was so manipulative over Rin.

"So Rin," said a girl across the table, "What do you like from a girl? I bet Hannah has all the personalities that you like. Why else would you pick her?" the girl added as she sipped some drink on her glass.

Rin didn't waste anytime and answer it. "I want a girl who is kind, generous, outgoing, kind, nice and most importantly," Rin said, turning to Hannah for the last part, "I want a girl who loves me for who I am and will accept me for who I am." Rin stared at Hannah with furrowed eyebrows, sending his message at her.

Rin just wanted to take control of his life. He was not a doll that Hannah could just control.

"Well," Rin stood up all of a sudden, "this is dinner was great but I have to go." Rin said then grabbed his bad, leaving the house without anymore words. Hannah excused herself from the dinner and the dinner guest before following Rin out of the house.

"Matsuoka!" Hannah yelled as she grabbed Rin's arm then turned him to face her. "What was that all about?!" Hannah yelled but kept her tone low as possible so the guest wouldn't hear them fighting over something pointless.

"You embarrassed me in front of my guests!" Hannah screamed. Rin kept himself calm and damn, was he good at it. "I was just defending myself because I felt so small." Rin answered with braveness on his tone.

"I didn't embarrass you, Hannah." Rin started, "You embarrassed me."

"I was just protecting you from them!" Hannah protested as she pointed at the house, not breaking the eye contact between her and Rin. Rin tightened his angry expression then took a step forward. "Protecting me?" Rin said, but with his use of voice, it seems like he was asking it.

"Why?" He asked. "Because they're judgemental? They didn't even mind my bad english and my being unsophisticated." Rin continued, his tone getting harsher and harsher by the second. Rin retrained himself from hurting Hannah. But she was going overboard.

Rin was not a doll with strings that Hannah would control his every move. He wanted to make his own decisions, without Hannah this time. He needed to be himself and didn't want to feel small.

"But you did, Hannah. You judge me." Rin spoke calmy with a now straight face. Hannah made a suprised and hurt face but took some air before speaking up. "You think they weren't judging you, Matusoka? They were just being nice but they were judging you on their mind!" Hannah protested.

Rin can't believe Hannah is like this. When he met her, she was nice and good. Always there for others but everything changed when he got closer to her.

"But you're judging me to my face." Rin quickly responded, not wasting anytime to let Hannah speak more of her foolishness. "You couldn't even let me speak for myself because you were afraid everything I say will embarrass you." Rin added.

Hannah rolled her eyes. "Oh my gosh, Matsuoka. Why are you being juvinile about this? Is this about (Y/N) again?"

Rin snapped. Why all of a sudden (Y/N) was dragged to him mess? Everything was fine to him. Hannah could hurt him or his feelings but never ever will he let pass Hannah's mistake on bringing (Y/N) to their mess.

"(Y/N) has nothing to do with this."

"Well," Hannah started, "Ever since you started working with her you've changed." Hannah ventured, her own anger showing. Hannah was being tough and all in front of Rin but Rin could easily see through her. She was weak like a stick lying on the floor.

"Isn't that what you want? That I change for you?" Rin instantly said, letting out his won anger as well. His maroon eyes shining, surely, he was ready to go on an outburst but he kept his feelings on check.

"You make it sound like change is an awful thing, Matsuoka!" Hannah spatted out with annoyance.

That was the last straw.

"Rin." Rin spoke out as he another forward towards the denfendless Hannah. "My name is Rin. Don't you ever call me by my last name." Rin complained with a serious tone and face. Rin had enough of Hannah's bullshit.

Hannah embarrassed Rin, she made him change and she dragged (Y/N) to this mess! Rin doesn't care about Hannah's feelings anymore. Even though she was girl, Rin will not hesitate to hit her is she ever mess with (Y/N), the one Rin truly love...

"This isn't easy for me, Rin."

"This isn't east for me too, Hannah. To admit that I'm not enough, that I'm so flawed in your eyes." Rin answered after a few seconds of silence. Hannah's angry expression turned into a guilty one when she heard Rin.

Hannah didn't meant to go that far. She was so naive that she made a little thing turn into a big one. One big pointless fight.

"The pain I feel right now," Rin again started, tears forming on the side of his eyes, "is the same pain as when I left Japan for Australia." Rin said.

Now the tears he was hiding showed up and streamed down his face. His eyes that once shown happiness was gone and was now filled with sorrow and anger. Rin didn't care if there were any people watching them, he just wanted to let out his feelings to someone...

But, he  let out his feelings to someone who wanted to change him.

"The same pain I felt when I had to leave (Y/N) because I felt that I wasn't good enough for her." Rin says, every word was like another scar to his heart but it was worth it. All the stupid thing he does for love.

How could love make us do stupid things that could hurt us?

"Because I love Hannah," Rin spoke out, tear dripping down on his chin then to the ground, "I let you change who I was, thinking that once I'm finally a good fit for you, you will love me whole hearttedly." Said Rin with a sad face.

Hannah swallowed the lump on her throat.

"But that's never going to happen." Rin said, "We will never be a good fit for each other. No matter how much time I spend with you, no matter how much hard I try to fit with your friends, no matter how much you change me, no matter what clothes I wear," Rin let out his last words on his speech,

"I'm still nothing but a trash to you." Rin said with a sigh of tiredness.

Rin was tired. He was tired of not being himself. He was tired of changing himself. He was tired of being fake to others.  He was tired of being controlled. He wanted his life back without anyone controlling his every actions. Hannah was standing on his way to that. There was only one thing to do and it has to be done if he wanted to have what he wanted...

"I'm so tired, Hannah." Rin said as he faced her with a face. His eyes and nose were red but it was nothing to him right now. He wanted to be free from the manipulative Hannah.

Hannah's eyes widened, knowing what was happening at the moment. "Are you saying it's over?" She asked, worriedly as she grabbed Rin's hand. The warmth of Rin's hand enveloped hers. This was the last time she would ever feel it because Rin was letting her go.

Rin looked down. "I'm sorry..." He muttered as he walked away, his hand slipping away from Hannah's.




Hanna sobbed as she watched her beloved ex-lover walk out of her sight. She knew what she was doing a long time, she knew how she controlled Rin and his own actions. She thought Rin was okay with it, but she wrong. Oh she was wrong. Now that she learned her lesson, her lover was gone and she knew he wasn't coming back.





TIMESKIP: DAD'S BEDROOM




"Daddy," I said as I walked inside my dad's room. He smiled at me warmly before he sat up from his bed. I could see he was still in pain ever since he was paralyzed. The only thing I could feel was numbness and guiltyness. If I wasn't so stupid over Rin, my dad could have still walked and run with us. I know it wasn't Rin's fault, but it's my fault.




Rin was the reason why I came back, so clearly It MIGHT be half oh his fault.



"(Y/N), come here, please." Dad called me over. I only smiled then sat on his bed before crawling closer to him ang hugged him. Dad only chuckled at my actions and gave me one as well. My dad was the only reason why I worked hard. I worked so hard so I could make him walk again but no matter how much I work or do anything reckless, I couldn't do anything.




"(Y/N), it's okay. It's okay to get tired, to get hurt." Dad resured as he rubbed my back. I couldn't responce to his words, I only sobbed and burried myself on dad's chest. "It's even okay to make mistakes. But," Dad ventured to me "you also have to forgive yourself." He said, his smile not leaving his face. I only let out a small groan and look up from his, moving away from the hug.




"Daddy," I finally said after a long silence, "Daddy I'm sorry..." I said, tears stinging my face again. "I'm sorry for what happened to you.




Ugh! Why do I always cry? Haven't I cried enough over Rin and my mom? Is the pain always that strong to me?




"(Y/N)," Dad said, getting comfortable on his bed. "I never blamed you, nor does your mom so stop thinking like that."





That's a reason why I love my dad so much. He loves me and cares for his family. He thinks for others first before himself. His words ringed through my ears then through my head. It replayed and replayed, wanting to let me stop blaming myself from dad's accident. I wanted to shake that thought of but dad's warming smile made me realize, it wasn't my fault.



I only made a hurt face as I dad continued. "Your mom just doesn't want you to get hurt again like last time. She knows that even though I got  paralyzed," Dad started, "you're the one with the deeper wound."





Little did I know, a certain someone was listening to our conversation, their own tears already slipping out. Dad continued. "She just doesn't know how to help you with your problem."





"But daddy," I sobbed out, "She still resents me for what happened."

Me and dad quickly turned our attention to the door way, only to see my mom crying as she opened her arms, like asking for a hug. I sobbed, scooting away from dad before standing up and giving her a hug. For a while, I was hesitant to hug her back. The memory of me yelling at her earlier came back and it flashed again and again.




The moment I was about to hug back, mom pulled away to face me. "(Y/N), I'm sorry. I didn't mean to." She said, wiping away the tears from my eyes with her thumbs.




"I love you so much." She spoke.







All of a sudden, the pain that I was feeling left my heart and my body as I heard what my mom said. I then bursted into tears again then hugged her. My mom saying to me "I love you" was all I need to make the pain go away. A mother's love could make someone's aching pain lessen before it really disappears, leaving you refreshed and happy.





And that's what I feel right now.

"C'mon girl, this going to be fun!"




"I don't know.." I replied.



"Just this once then we could go home. Okay?"

Me and Gou were currently walking inside a museum that was soon to open. It was new museum and luckily, Gou got the owner of the museum to let us in before the grand opening. It was nice being outside again. Gou actually insisted me to go out for a while to have some girl time...and maybe forget about Rin and I.




"(Y/N)!" Gou called out which made me snap out of my trance. She waved at me as her maroon ponytail moved with her every move. "Hurry up! I want to show you this cool picture!" She yelled then ran to the side, she was now out of sight.



I was about to catch up with her when all of a sudden, my phone let out a ring. Sighing, I took out my phone then looked at it to see who texted me on our girl time.



RIN MATSUOKA:


Hi (Y/N)! How are you?




Huh? Didn't I deleted his phone number already? My grip on my phone tightened a little. Was he trying to bring back the memories? My heart started beating loudly and faster.



Why do I still love him? He already left me for seven years, has another girlfriend that he loves but I still love him.. I guess my feelings for him still lingers and became stronger when he showed up to my life again.



He hurts me so much but why do I still love him? My heart was broken but he still managed to make it beat again? Was he trying to hurt me like before. No, not this time.

Rin is just a stranger that I had some history with. He is no one to me and that will stay like that. This is just a way to make myself forget all about him so that I couldn't hurt myself again. I can't take that risk, my dad already paid the price because of my stupidnesss over him. Who else would be dragged in?



Tears were ready to spill again when another message cam in.

Hey (N/N)! (N/N)!




Why is he so persistent? My fingers were so eager to text back at him but I didn't. He hurt too much even for me to talk to him in texts. I ignored hi texts and continued searching for the maroon haired girl.



The another text came.

PSSST! (Y/N)! Hey!!!



I could feel a sweat drop forming.


Then another came.



RIN MATSUOKA:


Why aren't you answering me?! Rude!!! Why you gotta be so rude?! XD



I only stared at the message with weirded eyes but I let it slide. What is up with Rin and sending creepy messages to me? Did he think making me laugh will make things better between us? Well he is wrong. No matter how much he texts me or humors me, he still hurted me emotionally and physically. I continued looking for Gou. Where was she? Is she seriously so eager to make me stare at a picture that she took off so quickly? My phone buzzed.



RIN MATSUOKA:





I still didn't answer and only shook my head slowly.



RIN MATUSOKA:

SNOB! HMPP!



What the hell is wrong with Rin?

Bitch? Did he just call me bitch? With a smiley face?! Oh he only made things worst! Calling me a bitch isn't going to help him. But then...




I smiled at his message then giggled. Even though that was super rude of him, I couldn't help it but laugh at his stupidness. There was still some annoying, stupid yet funny Rin inside of him. He didn't change at all. I continued giggling until another message came.




RIN MATSUOKA:

FINALLY! You smiled!

My lips parted a little in shock. I finally smiled? How did he know that? Was Rin here in the museum also? The thought made me curious and a little weirded out, and the search for Gou was already done. Now it was the search for Rin.





I kept looking side to side then back and front. If he saw me smile, he should be here. Or else someone stole Rin's phone then stalked to me until to this museum. No, that can't be true. If someone stole Rin's phone and stalked me, he or she wouldn't know the nickname Rin gave me!





Message again!





RIN MATSUOKA:

Hey, she's looking for me! How sweet! <3







With his message, I smiled then let out a playful yet happy "hmp". Without any seconds wasted,another message came in except it was a voice call. Without any hesitation, I quickly tapped his voice mail.





"Hey! Gou is waiting for you!" Rin's voice said before his voice mail ended.





I smiled at his message. As much as I wanted him to keept texting me like a creepy stlaker with nothing to do, I need to save my phone's battery. I only let out a happy smile before placing my phone back on my pocket.



I walked towards the next room. MY eyes widened and I almost dropped my shoulder bag on what I saw. There, A big painting of the beach where me and Rin use to hang out was presented. Even so, there was a small bench where two people can sit was facing the huge painting.


I walked towards bench and let my hand slide on the smooth surface. I smiled, sitting down and facing the huge picture of the beach. A few seconds later, memories started showing up my mind.



But certain memory was my main focus.



FLASHBACK


"Rin! I told you to bring the small bench!"



"But I'm too lazy!~"



"Thanks to your laziness, we don't have anywhere to sit on!" I yelled before sitting down on the sand, crossed arms. Rin pouted cutely before sitting beside me. "Aww, come on (Y/N)! The bench was too big! Besides," Rin made me turn to him against my will, "I'll make us a bench just for the two of us!"



His words made me laugh before I "accidentally" punched his shoulder. "Oh yeah? I don't believe you." I spoke, playfully looking away from him. I heard Rin grumble a complain before he gave me a side hug.


"You always don't so I'm not suprised. But what will suprise you is the bench I'm going to make!~"


"Ha ha ha ha ha. You hear that, I laughed. Let's add another two more, Ha ha. I still don't believe you, Matsuoka." I said before nudging him away from me and continued pouting cutely. Rin let out a scoff before nuzzling his head on my neck.


I could feel my blood rise up from my face as I tried to cover my it. Rin only let out a cute scoff at my reaction before-



"AHH!" I screamed loudly as I forcefully pushed him away from me then looked at my neck, which now has a small shark bite on it. "Why did you bite me?!" I asked in a screaming voice as I stared at him with suprised mixed with angry eyes.


Rin laughed. "Oh nothing. I just wanted to the bite mark I made when we grow up. We'll see if it's still there!~"


"You owe me a bench, big time." I said before looking at the purple "shark" bite Rin left.

"(Y/N)"



A voice called out as I sat on the bench with closed eyes. My eyes fluttered open before I looked back only to see Rin, staring at me with a smile. His real smile. The smile he always used when we were kids. The one he always used when he sees me blushing because of him.



Not his cocky smirk.




Only a gentle smile that I used to see everyday.




I stood up from the comfortable bench. "So, this is your. I'm impressed," I complimented as I looked around with my eyes. Rin let out a cute smile before nodding.  "That's great." I added, a small smile forming.




All the painful memories from before vanished. It was like all the things that hurt me went away, but the one who hurts me the most stayed. But I was grateful Rin stayed. I don't want him to leave me again, alone and crushed.



"You finally made the promise you made to me," I said, glancing at the bench again and again before winking again and again. Rin laughed at my actions as he walked towards me with his hands on his pockets.


Nothing.


Nothing told me to step away from him or run away. I only let him go near me, the pain not interfering us. I wanted him to hold me and never let me go. I know I sounded selfish but nothing matters but him. Nothing but him only.



"Yeah but,"



But what?



"My life isn't completed yet, It's incomplete," Rin said as he tried to look away from me, a blush forming on his face. I let out a giggle as his face turned as the color of his silky hair.



Who is the one blushing now?



"What about Hannah?"


"Were through."



My eyes widened in shock. He broke up with Hannah? For me? I don't know what to say but...YES!!!!


"(Y/N)," I turned to Rin, his face showing a lot of emotions but I could clearly see the emotion that he really felt is love. Love for me.


"My life is incomplete, without you." Rin said as he got something out from his pocket and slid it on my hands.


It was the same bracelet that Rin gave me seven years ago when he promised to court me. This bracelet is the thing that I always wanted back. I remember when I threw it away on the sea after Rin left me.



How did he get it back?



Oh wait, I forgot he was a swimmer...




"(Y/N), I would like to court you again," Rin's word made my wold slow down. He looked at my eyes lovingly, the same way he did when we were kids except this time, he truly showed he love me.



I could hear the beating of my heart. I'm shocked Rin still haven't heard it when he came near me. My heart was beating faster with every second, if that was even possible.





"I will make sure you know," Rin stopped in mid sentence. I smiled at him.







"That I love you so much. Then, now and forever and forever and forever." Rin continued. He suddenly went close to my face and kissed my nose. As he backed away, he laughed at my red face.


This was the first time when he kissed me on the nose. It tickled and send butterflies in my stomach. Hmm, how do I love Rin that he could send my heart beating for him? I laughed at his words when all of a sudden, I heard some giggles and laughter beside us.


I turned around only to see The whole Iwatobi swimming club, with maroon haired girl smiling at us except for Haru who seemed to be staring at the painting of the beach. With the way he was looking at the sea, it was like he was ready to jump on the painting anytime soon.



"In came it's not clear," Gou said as she smiled, "All together now!"




"Sharky loves (N/N)!" They all yelled (except for Haru, of course who was too busy staring at that damn painting to pay attention to you) as Makoto raised up a board from behind where words were written.

I laughed at them as they kept cheering for us. I turned to Rin and was about to speak when he placed his index finger on top of my lip. "Or, (N/N) loves sharky." Rin joked as he pulled away his index finger.



Everyone (except for Haru, damn it Haru! Pay attention!) yelled some wolf whistles while Gou just kept staring at us as she unknowinglly, started taking picture of us from every angle.


"(Y/N), I'm ready." Rin said and everyone stayed silent. The only thing we can hear was the sound of the wind and the beating of my own heart. Rin held both my hands and kissed them both.  His soft lips making contact with my soft hands.



"I know I made you wait, but I'm here now. I will not leave you again. (Y/N), give me one more chance. Please?" With that, Rin made the cutest puppy face he could muster, the same puppy face he always use to me when we were kids. Gou yelled something like "That's not cute!" but I ignored her and kept my attention to Rin, and his puppy face.



"Of course." I replied after a long time of silence. Rin's eyes widened at my answer. Before I could even say more, he quickly wrapped his arms around me and kept me close to him. Without any hesitation, I also wrapped his arms around him and gave him the same hug with the same amount of affection. The warmth from his hug started enveloping me.



Ahh, the hug he gave me when we were kids. How much I miss this. How much I miss Rin and his goofyness and shark teeth.

Even though he gave me much pain, I really love him.

"Aaaaaaawwwwww~" The others cooed at our sweet hug. I stopped myself from turning to them to yell for them to stop. If I did turn, I would ruin this moment I'm sharing with Rin. We stayed in the position in a long time before we pulled away to look at each other.



Unknown to me, tears were spilling out of my eyes. Tears of joy as they call it. I quickly brushed them away from my face using my long sleeves. Not wasting another second, Rin carried me bridal style and he carried me towards the bench.



Rin placed me down on the bench and he sat next to me. "You're heavy!" Rin exclaimed as he tried to get comfortable. I didn't mind his fat joke for this time, just this time, since he did all this for me.



"Sorry." I joked and nudged me, signaling him that I'm not that heavy. Hey! Maybe I might eating to much food when I was crying over Rin but I'm not THAT fat! At all!



"Let's go guys." Gou whispered to the other swimmer as she, with all her might, tried pushing them but failed. She thought she could push the swimmer with great muscles and looks with her petite form.


Makoto, being the kindest, did all the hard work for Gou and pushed all of them to give me and Rin some privacy.



"Rin," I called out for Rin and he turned to me, our eyes meeting instantly.





I build up some courage before cupping Rin's cheekc and slowly leaned towards his lips when all of a sudden. "Oh." Rin spoke. This made me stop and push him away but not forcefully. "I'm still courting you and you already want to kiss me?" Rin asked, his face showing amusement from my actions.


I let out an annoyed scoff. "Oh sorry. I thought we were M.U now." I stated and succesfully hide my disappointment from Rin. I really wanted to kiss Rin and hold him for a long time but right now, he is being a jerk.



"M.U? Here we go again. I hate Mis-Understanding." Rin said as he faced me with a slightly yet cute annoyed pout. I only, playfully, looked away from Rin before I turned back to him.


"M.U - Me and U." I said.

Rin faced me with an excited face that I forgot he even had. Rin's eyes gleamed with joy and excitment. I could see him eager to kiss me and wrap his arms around me but he forced himself to keep his cool and play cool.

"Were a couple now?"



"Hm-hmm." I said with a smile. At last, were officially a couple now. All the years were separated, we still became a couple and the "fake" relationship with have when we were kids is now true. The wish that I always wish when it's time came true:

"So," I started and twirled my (H/C), "Can I kiss you now?"

"Yup."



Rin stared at me before he turned to his back and then to his side, making sure that we were alone and no one there to interrupt us. After a while, Rin let out a chuckle before he faced me with a bored face.


Clearly, he was trying not to sound excited on me kissing him. Tch, bad actor.



"Fine. There's nothing I can do about it. It's me and you now." Rin replied, trying not to blush or sound excited. I shook my head in his stuborness. Still the same old Rin. I, again, cupped both of his cheeks. I closed my eyes and Rin did the same.


Slowly, I leaned nearer to him. I could feel his hot breathe already. And then,





Rin turned away before our lips met.

"What is it this time?"



"My parents are strict." Rin stated, my hands still on his cheeks. I scoffed. "You're parents aren't here. And our friend are gone too." I convinced him and het faced me with a face I couldn't understand.



Without any warning, Rin slapped both of my hands away from his cheeks. I was about to yell in pain but he placed both of his hands only face, cupping it with his warm hands. My fragile form felt protected near him. What more if I kiss him?



"The boys are the one to kiss the girl."




Rin closed the distance between our lips. His lips on top of mine as he leaned even more to get a better angle.



This was it. This moment is perfect. No pain, no anything. All the pain that Rin caused was washed away. The bitter memories we made was gone also. Everything is perfect. Nothing could even ruin this perfect moment.


I kissed Rin back, my arms snaking around his neck, making the kiss even deeper. His kiss wasn't rough nor gentle. It was just right. Rin always knows what I like and dislikes. Which made me fall for him even more.



But the we pulled away for air, the sweet kiss ending in the matter of seconds. After me and Rin catched our breathe, we both looked at each other lovingly.


Rin placed both of hands on my waist as I kept my arms around Rin's neck, not even thinking of letting go. Our eyes never left each other, they were getting lost. Our eyes were filled with love.

Finally, we said it. Our true feeling is showed to both of us. We can't hide the fact that we love each other.


No more pain if I'm with Rin. No more Hannah to ruin our life again. No more family troubles. But what is important that I'm together with the man I love, Shark--Rin, I meant.

Rin laughed. "Haha, the bite is still visible but it's kinda healing up."



"Oh.."


"Don't worry," Rin ressured, "I'll fix that."



All of a sudden, Rin grabbed my shoulders and nuzzled his head on my neck then--

Rin nipped on the same spot he bit me a long time ago. I tried pushing him away but he was too strong and continued nipping my neck. Against my will, I moaned. Rin stopped nipping my neck before pulled away to look at me with a cocky smirk.



"Did you just moan?"

"I heard you." Rin stated, smirking.




"Damn it!"


Rin chuckled at my childish reaction before leaned closer to my neck and licked the hickie. I moaned again.




"(Y/N), you are so naught~"



"I swear, I'm going to rip of your shark teeth one day Rin." I threatened after pushing him away from my neck. I stared at my neck, only to see a now really REALLY purple hickie he gave me. I groaned complainingly then sat back. It was healing up but Rin just needed to make it more visible.


"Aww, you are so cute~" Rin cooed as he kissed my cheek.



"And you are so dead."
